Katy Svalbe, Board Member, DYCCI

Katy Svalbe

Board Member

Underpinned by a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a Permaculture Design Certificate, Katy create environments that connect, inspire, and enrich people’s lives. With more than 25 years of Australian & international landscape and design experience, she has worked for large multidisciplinary design firms and landscape practices of boutique as well as significant stature and size. During this time, she has refined her sophisticated, eclectic aesthetic and collaborative approach to a wide range of commercial, public, residential and hospitality projects. Since 2021 Katy has been revelling in the opportunity to live and grow her practice regionally in Dunsborough, WA. In addition to her design work, Katy is panel member on the South- West Joint Design Review Panel.
Harry Kaye, Board Member, DYCCI

Harry Kaye

Board Member

Harry Kaye holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Property Development & Valuation, a Certificate IV in Strata Community Management and a Graduate Certificate in Environment & Climate Emergency. Harry takes a keen interest in all things property, with a particular passion for sustainability and conservation. Harry has extensive experience working in small business and serves on various committees and boards, including for the Strata Community Association (WA) and is well versed in the task of steering collective decision making through his day job as a Strata Manager. Having recently made the move to the South-West, Harry is very much looking forward to actively participating in the local community and helping to drive positive and sustainable growth for the region.

Matthew Moyes is the founder and principal of Umi Creative, a Margaret River-region based creative studio specialising in photography and videography. His work celebrates space, place, people, and stories — from aerial and architectural shoots to events and lifestyle narratives — with clarity, heart, and craft. Matthew’s client-centric approach, calm professionalism and strong visual sensibility make him a highly respected partner for businesses, creatives and individuals alike. As a DYCCI Board Member, he brings these strengths to his advocacy for the local creative economy and helps elevate the region’s visibility through visual storytelling.
Penelope Jones, Board Member, DYCCI

Penelope Jones

Board Member

Penelope Jones is the founder of Cape Property Advocacy and a valued member of the Dunsborough Yallingup Chamber of Commerce & Industry Board. With a background spanning the USA, UK, and Australia, she brings extensive experience in consultative sales, project management, and operations. Passionate about helping people make confident decisions, Penelope draws on her problem-solving expertise and negotiation skills to support buyers and sellers through one of life’s biggest milestones. Since moving to the Margaret River Region, she has embraced the area’s unique coastal lifestyle and strong community spirit, making her an enthusiastic advocate for local business and economic growth.
Joanne Dunn - South West Strata

Joanne brings over 20 years of experience in strata and residential property management, including the experience of establishing, growing and selling a Perth based strata management business that managed over 200 buildings. Combining such a strong knowledge of what makes a successful, service-driven business with a deep understanding of strata dynamics, Joanne ensures each property under her care receives exceptional attention and expertise.
Simona Hughes, Treasurer, DYCCI

Simona Hughes

Treasurer

Simona Hughes is a Chartered Accountant, CFO, and business strategy expert with over 25 years of experience. Her career began at KPMG in 2000, followed by a decade in London with global firms like GlaxoSmithKline, Westfield, and Lloyds Banking Group, where she specialized in business analysis, private equity, and cashflow management. Returning to Perth in 2011, Simona founded Financial Utilities, providing consultancy as a CFO and private equity fund manager. In addition to serving on the DYCCI Simona volunteers her valuable time to a number of grass root charities and organisations in the South West.  She balances her generous commitments and professional achievements with raising two teenagers, trail running, and creative pursuits in addition to serving as Treasurer for the DYCCI.
